CASSE going bush!

Swags are packed and CASSE’s Aboriginal Australian Relations team is ready to go bush!

The team is looking forward to camping out tomorrow night with the Bush Mob Camp in Ltyentye Apurte/Santa Teresa for the final night of a ten day youth bush camp. CASSE has funded two cultural mentors for the duration of the camp. Their role has been to share their knowledge of country, lore, land and ceremony with the young people on the camp.

Following the camp, CASSE’s team will be in Alice Springs for two days to meet with  Central Australian Aboriginal Congress (CAAC) and the Central Australian Human Research Ethics Committee (CAHREC) to finalise plans for a major project: the Kurunna Mwarre – make my spirit inside me good – Aboriginal Men’s Shed Model.

We look forward to sharing the stories and providing updates when they return!
