Re: ‘Once were warriors’, published in ‘Focus’, The Age, 5 February 2014
It is great to read an article asserting the true history of Australia.
‘Forgotten War’ by historian Henry Reynolds was just been awarded the Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for non-fiction.
It shines light on colonial Australia’s history of conflict with Aboriginal people – a history that needs to be known and acknowledged. It needs to be told and retold and not forgotten.
I implore all Australians to read this book.
